HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

IT'S BEEN AGES SINCE I'VE BLOGGED and it's major collecting dust here lol

over the past mths, i've got drunk (on my bdae) spent xmas eve w a special someone and now im attached w the special someone ^^

1) Keep all the receipts of my purchases for this year

2) Join a dance comp as a hip hop crew

JAB!!!! i think we were quite siao to chiong choreo n formation for 3 songs in 4
days haha. Ok but let's do it again! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

3) Improve in dance (mainly hip hop, waacking n house)

4) pick up a new genre

5) gain more Battle experience

6) go to japan! at the same time ace my JLPT 4

7) Revamp my room *

anyways even though i don't have older brothers who are biologically linked to me,
i'm still kindda glad i have these 3 "older brothers" in my life who care and dote on me lik the ideal odler brother i've imagine teehee ^^

up till now the most eventful things that had happened so my in my life is

- USS Enter the Netherworld Halloween party! 1.8k!! woohoo

my role was Beetlejuice girl (note the 3 striped costumed near the bottom) basically jus the asst of Beetlejuice. Anyways i think the guy playing Beetlejuice damn cute! ok he's not the sunshine boy feel but he has lik the chio-est eyes i've ever seen on an ang moh! Sucks that i TOTALLY never take picture with him!! argh!! and even if i get my job at USS, i wouldn't see him, cause he 's going back to Orlando already! sad max =(

YAY!! SUNTEC IS FINALLY OVER!!

I must say this competition had been a memorable experience. Many lessons learnt. and also a very unexpected ending.

To all the friends and family who had been supporting and encouraging us, MEGA THANK YOU!! and major hugs!!!! From audition - heat - semis - finals...really love u guys many many!

and of course despite the results, we still WAY LOT MORE to work on!!

and my JUMP5FAM;

i glad we pulled through all the way despite everything that had been going on. We may have disagreement sometimes but im glad we always work things out. And for all the thick and thin, i'm happy we had each other =D i hope we'll still continue on after this!!

Frankly, this result, we really didn't expect it at all. all we aimed for was to have fun, put up a gd show and leave the stage with no regrets; and work harder to improve more after that. So i guess now we can resume back to training!

1. NO PERIODS- thus no monthly insane pains, LBP, waste $$ on pad

3. PHYSICALLY EASIER TO MAINTAIN- no fuss over make up, no need buy facial mask, hair mask, breast firming mask (i think only old women use though), eye mask, neck mask, wax, eyebrow trimming, facial, hair treatment etc etc. guys jus have clean face, shave and good hair smell nice= done

4. SIGNIFICANTLY LESSER EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTERS

5. GUY IS THE OLDER THE MORE CHARM, GIRLS IS THE OLDER THE MORE EFFORT U HAVE TO MAKE TO MAINTAIN YA CHARM (refer to point 3 again)

First off i sure everyone is aware of the commotion that has been going around the dance scene bout HIP HOP and LA.

- Hip Hop dancers are not happy that the term "hip hop" is being commercialized and tagged to dance styles that isn't hip hop at all

- LA style dancers are not happy about what some people wrote and deem its disrespectful

Yes, what was written may come off sounding disrespectful to LA dancers, but then again, if the dancer who started the whole "LA HIP HOP" hadn't tagged it to hip hop...will the hip hop dancers even made any comments?

For years..YEARS i emphasize; founders of dance genres are not credited for what they had started/created. WHY? because of commercialization and the media

eg. Back glide; commercially know as "moonwalk", is created by the Electric Boogaloos. Yet, Michael Jackson was credited for "creating" the move; because MJ is more well-known than the EB and he jus made the move popular when he did it in Billie Jean

In the 1st place, why is LA style called LA hip hop/ New style hip hop? Mayb it came from LA, but it's not a new style of hip hop becos nth new was created. So why is it even termed that? how did LA style started in the 1st place? anyone given it a thought bout that?

Anyway the term "HIP HOP DANCE" was really coined by Buddha Stretch. When during an interview the asked him what dance is he doing and he replied "hip hop"; Cause he was grooving it to hip hop music.

SO YOU CAN'T TAGGED A DANCE TO HIP HOP IF YOU DON'T DO THE DANCES /HAVE THE GROOVE TO IT.

(eg. of hip hop dances are reebok, roger rabbit, harlem shake etc etc etc)

anyway, really very frankly, truthfully, i can't see which part of LA is hip hop, except it kindda look like watered down version of animation.

Do & Dance

There's a rather big difference between DOING a genre and DANCING a genre.
knowing a few basics of the genre/ u look like u can do the genre doesn't mean you can dance it.

in my opinion (you may disagree), what differetiates the different dance genres are Music, Technique and Groove.

Each genre are done to almost distinctively different music. If you're able to acknowledge the music and feel it then its a good start.

Next is basic technique. Each genre has their own set of technique eg. locking- lock, twirl point; house- farmer, pan der pauree (ok dunno how to spell) etc etc. Being able to do the basic only brings u more understanding to the dance but doesn't make you a pro in it. And more importantly u cannot claim u are doing a genre when u are not doing a single technique in it eg. doing "hip hop" but no hip hop technique.

Lastly and most important of all would be groove. U can say u are doing waacking/hip hop/locking/house. But if u have no groove, u are jus doing the steps. Groove adds soul to your dance. Generally if u dance groove-less, u are jus a dance robot.

Maybe this post will be disagreed by many/some but i feel what i say holds some sense. As much as one feel that they are good enough in that dance, as long you are lacking any of the 3 u can never say u have master the dance. In fact, even really dope dancers don't acknowledge themselves to have master the genre they are doing.

If one were to teach, what's important is not how dope a choreo u can come up with for the class, rather how u can teach in a way that your student get the BASICS and FUNDAMENTALS of the dance and actually learn smth other than just the choreo.

for me, this is how i see somethings that are going on now. Of course there many dancers out here spreading their knowledge, nuturing new dancers to expand the dance scene in singapore. but spreading knowledge is one thing. spreading CORRECT knowledge is another. jus hope that everyone really go learn and ensure their knowledge is correct before even passing it on to others.

Sdd aside, we all know recently that had been a major wooha of a certain event. from what i see, i jus feel dancers are kindda exploited for such commercialised event. If we ever want the scene in singapore to grow, we jus have to change the public's prespective that dance is not for commericial purpose but it pretty much a way of life (for most of us). participating in commercialised competition is not exactly a step to take towards that goal. Other than that through this jus hope that someone will realise what he/she's done and change if he/she ever want ppl to support events organised by he/she.

Yes i'm finally getting back my BLACKBERRY already!!! cleared all my credit card debt with my dad. Now im jus contemplating to a new one at $880 or a 2nd hand one so i can use the reminder cash to aid my S90-fund. bahhhh

and this month we have our dear soh ceekay turning 21! great party! great call-out battles and great cyphers!

after ck's bdae we all went to cine, can't decide to jus chill or play L4D or watch movie but we all went up to e2max anyway and we saw those catch-toys machine then cherron was exclaming "aww the scrump so cute!" and i was "got pink cinnamon roll!"

but we all walked away cos like waste of $$. So while we were contemplating wad to do, jin suddenly ran past us with the scrump! then it started the whole catch-toy-madness. baby spent 20 bucks to get my cinnamon roll n fong spend lik $50 to get diane her nightmare before x'mas dog

anyways i'm considering selling one of my hammies away cos i can't afford to keep them in different tanks. One of the tank is so small that if they are placed in it they dun even bother to move...they jus snooze away and then they get dehydrated because cannot put water bottle.

anyway y'all may not b interested but i had coco chanel for 1 month! as in my pudding hamsters are call coco and chanel! hearts them max cos they're so lovable but damn sian cos coco changed colour. now she looks lik a rat. but they're both still cute =) they were lik so tiny when i jus got them la!!

anyway was damn fricking nervous that day and i think i freaked out majorly during our prelims.

Then then then! during the house prelims damn funny; when 1G came out everybody were like "ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh~" the very low type then when she start dancing the whole crowd jus went crazy la!

btw 1G damn scary during battle! during battle her face is FIERCE like really fierce and you can feel the aura emitting from her! budden outside battle she's really really nice! Did i mention she's damn gorgeous!!!!!!

but damn wasted cause at the semi finals, it's 1G vs Jinu (mad cute korean houser!)then Ra had a hard time coming to a decision cause both of them were very good but doing different genres so in the end chris said its a house battle so Jinu got the win

i was looking for accessories online then i came across this..

yea! i want my wedding ring to be something like this! except that i want a star shaped diamond =DD

before u jumped on the conclusion I'm copying xiaxue cause she got a heart shaped ring. I'm not!
From the tender age of 16, i long dreamt my wedding ring to be like that.
and also to the fact that xiaxue is getting married earlier than I am so of course she gets her ring 1st.

Then again from 16 years old, my ambition is to be a mum! not jus any mum but a young mum! of course a LEGALLY WED young mum. ya so actually i kindda aimed to get married by 23 and have my kids by 25! and hopefully i get twins so i only have to go through pregnancy once!

My 20th birthday!

happen like 1 month ago and i haven blog bout it yet lol!

anyway went celebrate with caryn they all the night before the actual day. Went HK cafe at marina sq with baby to meet them. Then by then i already sense smth wrong cos jeremiah got suspicious face haha

Woots~

Just now went Night Safari with Basic 5 + fong's younger bro. Damn fun + funny!
Gotta give it to the scarers...they really make up + costume full out lo! LSCT GLs our foc night walk should just learn from them already lol

Anyway i think the scarers probably got sian-ed by me because i'm not majorly frightened by them and i jus kept laughing only. I think scaring people often helps to make you less prone to being scared

(i use to walk a bit faster ahead of my friends then i will hide at the turnabout so when they turn i will jus scare them and 95% of the time they get frightened! then i kept doing that till it came to a time when baowen tried to scare me and nicole..i jus walked righ pass him and nicole who was walking behind me got freaked out. Not forgetting the nightwalks from camps)

I only got shocked cause we were on the tram then there was this mummy walking quite near the tram then baby saw it and said "ohsssssssit chee bye"
and apparantly the mummy heard and came to terrorize us by climbing to our seats and sticking his face in our faces.

Yes i removed the 2 post that were here earlier today. I don't deny i felt that way the whole day but at least it's all cleared up and i was already feeling ok after An's rehearsal. So all's good =DD

It's 1am and i still felt like i ate a cow for dinner..literally
Lik fricking full...so full i think the cow will jus burst out of my stomach.
ok basically i ate nothing for the whole day then met cher n jaz in the evening. Apparantly they made really dope kim bam (korean sushi) so i ate lik 6 pieces cos i'm so fungry (fucking ugly = fugly so fucking hungry = fungry). AUNTIES: ok to be fair NOT ALL AUNTIES ARE MEAN! of course i know there some really nice aunties around but among them too many black sheeps. Actually the thing i jus can't stand bout them is they behave like the world owes them in some way or simply rude.

how many times have u patiently waited for bus at the bus stop n bout to board the bus and an unknown force from nowhere suddenly shove u out of the way and u realise...it's an auntie

or seen an auntie rushing for an empty seat on the MRT no matter the distance or priority seating

or an auntie arguing to her death for a discount or some privilege n threatens to call "the manager"

actually loads of stuff la...i'm jus ranting. Actually i jus dun lik the shovers and the self righteous (the kind whereby they are all healthy and while ya sitting in a seat, they blabber in front of u saying "nowadays the youngster ah no respect for elders dunno how to give space to elder" so much for elderly when u are so robust..don't see you giving up seats to young children/pregnant ladies/ real feeble elderlys)

RUDE KIDS: firstly i love kids! but i dun lik rude kids.

1) was at the zoo with nyse, davin, jere n cailing. and we were walking on this
pathway. *note* the pathway is not say very small...enough for lik 2 ppl to
walk. And the 5 of us were already lik walking at one side so others can pass.
Then this stupid kid walk towards our direction to get to the other side by
walking lik right in the middle of the pathway and kindda shouting "make way for the president! make way for the president!"

LIK WTF! dunno how to say excuse me is it tmd

2) waiting for bus after finish work at zoo. Got quite a lot people waiting for
the bus already at the bus stop. Bunch of indian kids kept screaming but thats
ok..there's jus kids. Bus approaches and stop lik right next to me. Door open..i
was bout to board when the hoard of indian kids jus push their way through so
can get on the bus 1st. I guess i was super tired from work already so i got
kindda pissed over it but then again should had stick out my leg n make them
trip! hey im not being mean here..but i kindda have low tolerance for rude kids.
besides they were making a whole lot of noises on the bus n hoppping around
seats so kindda obstruct the way of others

parents never do anything jus let them run loose

yes i sound lik so complain-y n all but who cares! but anyways. in one way can't really blame the kids for the way they behave..can only blame...hmm im not saying anything~

so i'm gonna b the early childhood teacher who gonna make sure my students don't turn out lik that!

Jus watched Time traveler's wife with cher n jaz jus now.
Seriously i thought the book was way better. The movie was kindda rushed through and they changed n cut a few important stuff

apparantly its another novel-adaption movie. AND! watching the trailer already made people feel like crying, i can't imagine what happens when you watch the whole movie

Life sucks the most when every damn thing have to crash down on you at the same time
